How to get Darkrai in Pokémon Light Platinum?
Before being able to catch any Sinnoh legendary, the first thing you have to do is head to Noormeak City and battle Cynthia. She will have 3 Pokémon and it will be an easy battle. Once you defeat her, the appearance of the Sinnoh legendary Pokémon will be activated throughout the region.
Darkrai is the pitch-black Pokémon, the counterpart to Cresselia. This Pokémon is one of the most powerful legendaries of the fourth generation due to its speed and special attack. In this article, we will show you how to catch it.
IMPORTANT: You must have completed both Pokémon Leagues to access most legendary events.
The first thing you will have to do is head to DARDUSK CITY, the city where the Ghost-type gym is located. Once there, look for the house located right next to the Pokémon Mart.
Once inside you will see an NPC and a bed. Interact with the bed and a text dialog will appear asking if you want to rest for a while. Answer YES. You will immediately enter a "dream" and appear in a special room where Darkrai is located.
We recommend that you save the game before starting the battle. Darkrai will appear at level 40. As with other legendaries, its catch rate is low, so make sure to bring enough Ultra Balls and status conditions like Sleep or Paralysis.

Did you know? Even though Darkrai is not a Ghost-type, it can learn almost all moves of that type and can even pass through walls in various games and movies, behaving like a specter.
