How to get Cresselia in Pokémon Light Platinum?
Before being able to catch any Sinnoh legendary, the first thing you have to do is head to Noormeak City and battle Cynthia. She will have 3 Pokémon and it will be an easy battle. Once you defeat her, the appearance of the Sinnoh legendary Pokémon will be activated throughout the region.
Cresselia is the dream Pokémon, Darkrai's counterpart. This Pokémon is one of the most elegant legendaries of the fourth generation and has great defensive potential. Below, we give you the steps to find it.
IMPORTANT: You must have completed both Pokémon Leagues to access most legendary events.
The first thing we will have to do is head to MERYDIAN CITY. Look for a two-story building; on the first floor you will see an NPC and the second floor will seemingly be empty, with only a bed.
If you interact with the bed, a dialog box will appear asking if you want to rest for a while. Answer YES. You will automatically be transported to a special room where the Legendary Pokémon awaits you.
We recommend that you save the game before starting the battle. Cresselia will appear at level 40. In our tests, the catch rate was quite accessible, requiring few Ultra Balls after weakening it.

Did you know? Although Cresselia leaves lunar feathers in its wake, its body does not have real feathers. Furthermore, the color of these feathers (yellow/silver) differs from the predominant colors of its body.
