Pokémon Light Platinum Walkthrough

Just like in other Pokémon games, a professor introduces you to the Pokémon world. You can choose to be a boy or a girl and select your name. However, you will not be able to choose your rival's name.

The ROM hack begins with a dream in which you find yourself among Legendary Pokémon: Arceus, surrounded by Giratina, Dialga, and Palkia. It seems they are against Arceus, and just as they decide to attack, Arceus disappears and you wake up. You go downstairs and your mom asks you to set the clock. Upon leaving, you meet Kaori, the Zhery League Champion, who asks you to accompany him to Central City flying on his Salamence.

Upon arriving in Central City, Kaori takes you to see Professor Jasmine and Ash Ketchum. In a hole, there is an ancient tablet. Jasmine asks you to read the translation, since you know the Alpha language.

After reading it, Jasmine wants to make sure no one can get the tablet, so Kaori summons Empoleon and fills the hole with water. Kaori and Ash leave, but a Team Steam member attacks the professor. She asks you to choose a Pokémon from her bag to battle him:

After the battle, Jasmine lets you keep the Pokémon you used. You can give it a nickname and then she will take you back to her lab in Yellow Town. Jasmine wants you to talk to Professor Oak, who is at Marfeny Lake, east of Central City. Before leaving, talk to Jasmine once more and you will receive some Poké Balls as a gift.

• You get an Elekid in the upper room of the lab, up the stairs.
• Talk to the boy in the southwest house of the town and he will give you a Fire Stone.
• A girl in the southwest will give you a Max Potion.

Truth be told, there's not much to do here. Our recommendation is to buy some Antidotes for later, as they will be necessary. Visit the Safari Zone and catch its different Pokémon.

• Talk to the old man sitting at the entrance of the City and he will give you an Ultra Ball.
• In one of the houses where there is a Shinx, they will give you an Amulet Coin.
• Talk to the man in the lab coat near the Safari Zone building and he will give you a Growlithe.
• Talk to the running man next to his Croagunk and he will give you TM01 - Focus Punch.

Head east and you will find Professor Oak talking to Gold about Feebas. Gold, excited, catches a Feebas, but the other Feebas attack Oak, so you intervene and battle a level 3 one. It is recommended to catch it and then evolve it with the Prism Scale found at the end of the beach.

Return to Yellow Town to deliver the message to Professor Jasmine. Enter the lab and Oak will appear too. After talking, he will head to the Radio Tower, which will be your next destination. Go back to Central City and head to the Radio Tower, where Oak will give you the National Pokédex.

After Oak gives us the National Pokédex, he will give us one of the Johto Starter Pokémon.

Cross the bridge and you will see Diamond looking at the water, saying that a Pichu is drowning. You rescue it and then you have a battle against the Pichu; you can defeat it or catch it. Afterwards, Diamond introduces himself and you will have a battle against him.
