Route 409, National Park and Fourth Gym

Once you reach Route 409, you can participate in several battles and find many items. A Hiker will give you HM06 - Rock Smash, which you will need to advance in the adventure. Later on, you will face Gold in a battle.

Another important activity on this route is to head north and talk to a boy accompanied by two Duskull.

This boy is the next Gym Leader. Once you talk to him, he will leave, and you will be able to face him in the future.

After talking to the Gym Leader and passing through the rocks using Rock Smash, you will run into Gold for a battle.

Here you will have two battles with the boys at the entrance and you can catch new Pokémon for your team. The Bug-Catching Contest is inactive.

• A boy in the Pokémon Center gives you a Dratini.
• A boy outside the Pokémon Center gives you a Drifloon.
• A boy will give you a Moon Stone.
• Spiritomb appears at the top of the tower after defeating Team Steam.
• Trade Kirlia for a Haunter holding a Lucky Egg.

The Gym in this city is Ghost-type. If you don't have a Pokémon of this type, we recommend trading Kirlia for Haunter and training it, or considering Drifloon as a good option.

How to solve the Ghost-type Gym in Pokémon Light Platinum?

To solve the Gym, follow these steps: go three times to the bottom left tile, and then to the top right tile. This way, you will reach Thomas and get your fourth Badge.
