Second Gym Pokémon Light Platinum
Once you arrive in Pantem Town, you will find Solana waiting for you at the entrance of the Pokémon Center for a battle. It will be a challenge, since you are coming from Routes 404 and 405 without having healed your team.

After defeating her, you will be able to enter the Pokémon Center and heal your team peacefully. Apart from the battle with Solana, there is nothing else to do in this town, other than talk to the locals and learn a little more about the region.
Route 406 is a very short and simple route, with several Trainers who will give you a lot of money and new Pokémon in the tall grass.

A Bug Catcher will give you a Lucky Egg, one of the best items in the game, and before reaching Esmeralda City you will once again encounter your rival Diamond, who will challenge you to a battle.

Once we win the battle, we can continue our adventure towards Esmeralda City.
Upon arriving in Esmeralda City, you will see that Team Steam is causing trouble and has the city on fire. At the entrance of the city, you will meet Red and Ash, who will hand you a Team Steam Uniform. Then, with their Gyarados, they proceed to put out the fire in the city using Rain Dance.
To be able to enter the Team Steam building, you will need to access your Bag, select the Steam Uniform in the Key Items pocket, and then you will be able to enter.

Once you defeat Sheila, Team Steam will leave. Then, Professor Rowan will appear, talk to you, and thank you for helping. Following this, all Team Steam members will leave the city and the Gym Leader will be waiting for you at the Gym.

The Esmeralda City Gym, led by Esmeralda, is Grass-type, as you can see as soon as you enter. Solve the box puzzle and defeat the Leader to earn your second Badge.
