First Gym Leader

• If you talk to the Bug Catcher, he will give you a Full Restore.
• Super Potion
• Ultra Ball
• TM17 - Headbutt

Once you reach Route 403, you will meet Red, who will give you Headbutt. Then, if you continue north, you will run into Jessica, the Inhore City Gym Leader. She will mention that something strange is happening with the Combee that are everywhere.

If you have any information about their behavior, you can tell her. After this conversation, Jessica will use her Vespiquen to cut the trees blocking the path, allowing you to enter the woods.

Once you enter the woods, you will face several Trainers in battle. Before crossing the bridge you see upon entering, you can find some useful items. Upon crossing the bridge, you will encounter Gold and have a battle against him. His team is as follows:

You will find a hive of angry Combee blocking your path and preventing you from advancing. For now, ignore the hive, as later on, after completing some tasks in the next city, you will have to return to face them.

Upon arriving in the city, you will notice that all the buildings are blocked by Combee, except the Pokémon Center. Jessica will give you a quick summary of the situation and then head back into the woods. You must follow her. Once you find her in the woods, you will face several Team Steam Grunts in battle.

After defeating the Team Steam Grunts, you will see Jessica battling Sheila, one of the organization's strongest members. Jessica loses, and when Sheila is about to deliver the final blow, you step in to battle her.

Once you defeat her, Jessica will thank you. With this, you will now be able to take on the Gym and get your first Badge.

Back in Inhore City we can find:

• TM09 Bullet Seed - Talk to the girl in the house next to the Pokémon Center.
• Talk to the scientist at the Inhore University and he will give you the Exp. Share.
• Talk to a scientist at the Inhore University and you will be able to choose between the Hoenn starters.

• HM01 - Cut Given to us by Red after defeating him before challenging the Gym.
• After beating the Gym, a man to the north will give us the Running Shoes.

Now that the Gym is open, you can face its challenges. Before doing so, Red will challenge you to a battle, mentioning that he has already obtained the Badge.

For this Bug-type Gym, it is recommended to use Flying or Fire-type Pokémon. Also, avoid touching the hives in the trees, as every time you do you will have to battle a Combee.

If you find the Gym difficult, you can train against the Venipede in the area, as they give more experience than normal.

Once you win, Leader Jessica will give you TM06 - Toxic. This is how you will obtain your first Zhery League Badge.
