Pokémon Light Platinum step-by-step guide
Once you have completed the gym again, you must go to Kosaka City and head east to Route 509.
Items on Route 509:
- Full Heal
- TM36 - Sludge Bomb
- Black Belt
Advance through the route until you reach some giant rocks. Destroy the rocks using Focus Punch.
Climb the remaining stairs and head down and to the right to enter Rycian City.
The Gym Leader is at the zoo in the north of the city and will ask you to look for some lost Pokémon so he can return to the gym and you can challenge him. However, before that, there are a couple of interesting things to do in the city.
- A girl sitting on a bench gives you a Poison Barb.
- In one of the houses, an NPC sells all the evolution stones:
Once this is done, head to the zoo and talk to the leader Soka, who will ask you to rescue three escaped Pokémon:
- Shinx: It is in the tall grass to the right of the rocks you destroyed with Focus Punch on the previous path.
- Snorlax: It is found on Route 508, to the left of an information sign.
- Steelix: It is on Route 505 (past Lendyn Town), next to the leader Soka.
After rescuing them, Soka will return to his post.
