Many of the evolutions in Light Platinum are altered. Especially those that evolve by trading or by items from future generations. Below is a list of the game's evolutions:

• Kadabra - Alakazam: Level 42
• Machoke - Machamp: Level 44
• Haunter - Gengar: Level 44
• Graveler - Golem: Level 36

• Roselia - Roserade: Leaf Stone
• Magmar - Magmortar: Fire Stone
• Electabuzz - Electivire: Thunder Stone
• Misdreavus - Mismagius: Moon Stone
• Murkrow - Honchkrow: Moon Stone
• Kirlia - Gallade: Sun Stone
• Scyther - Metal Coat + level up - Scizor. (You can get the Metal Coat in a trade in Inhore City)
• Onix - Metal Coat + Level 30 - Steelix (Trade in Groment City)
