Many of the evolutions in Light Platinum are altered. Especially those that evolve by trading or by items from future generations. Below is a list of the game's evolutions:

- Kadabra - Alakazam: Level 42
- Machoke - Machamp: Level 44
- Haunter - Gengar: Level 44
- Graveler - Golem: Level 36

- Roselia - Roserade: Leaf Stone
- Magmar - Magmortar: Fire Stone
- Electabuzz - Electivire: Thunder Stone
- Misdreavus - Mismagius: Moon Stone
- Murkrow - Honchkrow: Moon Stone
- Kirlia - Gallade: Sun Stone
- Scyther - Metal Coat + level up - Scizor. (You can get the Metal Coat in a trade in Inhore City)
- Onix - Metal Coat + Level 30 - Steelix (Trade in Groment City)
