How to get Arceus in Pokémon Light Platinum?
Before you can catch any Sinnoh Legendary Pokémon, the first thing you need to do is head to Noormeak City and battle Cynthia. She will have 3 Pokémon and it will be an easy battle. Once you defeat her, the appearance of Sinnoh Legendary Pokémon will be triggered throughout the region.
IMPORTANT: You must have completed both Pokémon Leagues to be able to catch most of the legendaries.
Arceus
Once you defeat Cynthia, head to Noormeak City going north-west until you find the Wailord balloons. Talk to the one on the left and select the ALPHA ISLAND option.
Once there, you must use Surf and enter a cave that will take you through a long path to Arceus, who will be at Level 50.
