How to get Shaymin in Pokémon Light Platinum?
Before you can catch any Sinnoh Legendary Pokémon, what you must do first is head to Noormeak City and battle Cynthia. She will have 3 Pokémon and it will be an easy battle. Once you defeat her, it will trigger the appearance of Sinnoh Legendary Pokémon all over the region.
IMPORTANT: It is necessary to have completed both Pokémon Leagues to be able to catch most legendaries.
Shaymin
Once you defeat Cynthia, you must head to Inhore City. Upon arrival, go south, cross Route 403, and enter Inhore Woods.
Once inside Inhore Woods, you must head northeast and you will see Shaymin waiting for you at level 50.

Did you know? If you freeze Shaymin in its Sky Form during a battle using an Ice-type move, it will lose its transformation and automatically revert to its Land Form.
