How to get Heatran in Pokémon Light Platinum?
Before you can catch any Sinnoh Legendary Pokémon, you first need to head to Snowce City and battle against Steven. He will have 3 Pokémon and it will be an easy battle. Once you defeat him, it will trigger the appearance of the fourth-generation Legendary Pokémon all over the region.
Heatran is a highly resilient Fire/Steel-type Legendary Pokémon. It is one of the most powerful additions in this GBA ROM hack. Below, we show you its exact location.
IMPORTANT: You must have completed both Pokémon Leagues (Zhery and Lauren) to be able to access the final legendary events.
The first thing you have to do is head to MT. VULCAN, which is located in the second region of the game (Lauren).
Once there, you must enter the cave located inside the forest. Explore the depths until you find the lava pools; Heatran is waiting in one of them, specifically in the northeast direction of the cave.
Heatran will appear at level 40. Given its typing, it is a tough Pokémon to wear down without the right moves. We recommend saving your game before starting the encounter.
You now have the guardian of the volcanoes on your team!
Did you know? Heatran is the Pokémon with the most double resistances in the entire game, possessing a total of 5 double resistances thanks to its excellent Fire and Steel typing.
